金刚瑜伽母是藏传佛教中最具智慧与力量的女性神灵，也是噶举派、萨迦派及格鲁派共修的本尊。因其是印度大成就者那若巴（Naropa）按《胜乐续》修法所传承的空行母，又名那若空行母。僧众认为，常修持此像，可以延年益寿、增长资财。 瑜伽母头戴五骷髅冠，面如鹅卵，三目睁视，呲牙咧嘴，呈现大忿怒形象。昂头仰视左手所托的嘎巴拉碗，欲饮其中血水。右手持钺刀，沿右腿外侧向下伸展。全身装饰细密的连珠纹璎珞，项挂骷髅头鬘，腰间系带，紧贴两腿外侧下垂，于足部向两侧翻卷，样式奇特。左足踩踏印度教的威罗瓦神，右足踩踏黑夜女神，呈右展姿站立，下承莲花座，莲瓣宽扁圆润，排列规整。整像做工精细，造型准确，体态优美，动感十足，彷如御空飞行一般，将金刚瑜伽母的威猛精进表现得极为充分。
