来源苏富比纽约2016年9月13日，重要中国艺术品，编号347MichaelC.Hughes艺廊，纽约，2006年此件剔红毛笔带盖，笔杆及笔盖厚髹朱漆，笔帽紧密接于笔身之上，通体修长，漆色暗红，呈沉郁隽雅之态，光泽莹润，显含蓄华美之风。器表均作剔红处理，周身以锦纹为地，笔帽一端刻回纹，一端刻草叶纹，帽顶刻一“福”字。笔身雕饰高仕图，高士身着长袍，坐于庭院之中，衣褶飘逸，高谈阔论，神态生动；周边树木枝叶错落有致。整器造型规整，剔红雕刻精美，可堪案前赏玩。纹饰构图疏密有致，刻划精细入微，磨工圆润，纹饰意境深远古雅，极见雕刻功力，时代特征鲜明。
