TARA Bronze with inscription India, 16th century Dimensions: Height 12 cm by 10 cm Weight: 371 grams Small shrine with Tara seated on a round throne attached to a stepped square plinth with floral decoration. She is resting both her hands on her knees, in the left hand she is holding a rosary or noose. She wears jewellery and a short dhoti, her expression is attentive. She is sitting in front of an ornamented arch with two attachments in cloud-shape on the side. Above her head is a seated small Buddha and one of the Eight Auspicious Symbols, the parasol, is at the top. The backside reveals a big inscription.
