SHADAKSARI Bronze fire gilt Tibet , 16th to 17th century Dimensions: Height 14 cm by 7 cm Weight: 520,3 grams Seated Avalokiteshvara on a double reverse lotus throne with beaded rim in lotus pose. He has four arms and is holding a lotus bud and a flower while joining the palms of two hands in front of his chest in anjali mudra . He wears a long dhoti and is covered in jewellery and a tiara sits on his head. The face is smiling with downcast eyes. The bronze is hollow.
