CHINA - Transition period, 17th century
Large porcelain dish decorated in blue under cover in the centre of a rider galloping near a cliff, soldiers watching him behind rocks. The waterfall is decorated with branches of plum trees, lotus, peonies and irises. The edge decorated with a frieze of lingzhi. On the back of the base, the mark "yu tang zhui qi", a precious object made for the jade hall. (Restorations, cracks, chips, splinters) Diam. 36 cm.
