Qing Dynasty, 19th Century, according to the inventory

Decorated with dragons among clouds, hardwood collar and carved and pierced cover depicting a landscape scene

Provenance: Purchased from Kelly Ng in 1995

Condition: one old crack to the gourd body (approx. 7cm long) and another shorter one (approx. 2cm long), two small hairline cracks along the upper rim, all these cracks seem to be old and commensurate with age; the cover is in good condition, wooden base has been 'blue-tacked' to the gourd and hasn't been removed for further inspection; one tiny insect hole to the gourd body (see attached images)
