章嘉呼图克图(1717-1786)，蒙语意活佛，法名若必多吉，又名章嘉益西丹欠准美。祖籍青海，生于甘肃武威。3岁时被认定为二世章嘉活佛阿旺却丹的转世灵童，迎入青海估宁寺坐床。1724年迎至北京，受封为大国师，主持翻译藏文大藏经为满文。他夏季常住五台山和多伦诺尔。坐像头戴僧帽，内穿袈裟，外披大氅，宽额、方脸，右手结说法印，左手结禅定印，面部表情安祥。坐下坐垫饰细密花纹，纹饰华丽，工艺精细。参阅：《中国藏传佛教佛像图典》，图349、350。《中国藏传佛教金铜造像艺术》，图256、257
