本品花口，口沿外翻，束颈，丰肩敛腹，圈足。石榴尊器形首创于明宣德官窑，雍正时期开始仿烧，并成为清代官窑经典器形，其中以窑变品种最为典型。石榴造型象征家族血脉之延续兴旺，宫中陈设石榴尊寄托了皇帝对多添皇子、皇孙的期盼。石榴尊上常施窑变釉，为清雍正时期景德镇御窑厂仿制宋钧窑创新的品种，因其釉中含有多种呈色元素，故而色泽变化万千，艳丽有加，极富观赏性，俗语有“窑变无双”之说。整器造型端庄，色泽艳丽，独一无二，其窑变釉形态极美，配以具有美好寓意的器形，可谓相得彰宜，尽善尽美。 “大清乾隆年制”六字三行刻篆书款《广东省博物馆藏品选》页169，图81，文物出版社，1999年.
