碗敞口，口有包边，腹渐收，圈足。内外施黑釉，黑釉漆黑光亮，流釉至底。足底素胎。碗里外口部呈酱色，黑与褐相间的兔毫纹，里心毫纹渐粗。宋人崇尚斗茶，以茶汤面上浮起的白沫多且持久者为胜。用黑盏来盛茶，便于观察白沫的状况，因此黑釉茶盏大受欢迎。特色鲜明的建窑兔毫盏应运而生。此盏釉面闪现银灰色光泽，丝丝兔毫流畅均匀，为宋代上等茶具。
