He was the founder of Shengsheng Art Company and editor of World Pictorial. Sun was also a member of China Artists Association (Shanghai Branch), librarian of The Shanghai Research Institute of Culture and History. Masterpieces are Rafts on the Fuchun River, Vegetables and Plum Blossom, etc.
