A famille rose cockerel shape wine pot, Qianlong period, ca. 1740, China, The lid with a smaller cockerel on top acting as a finial. An old label on the base for the Sir Bernard Eckstein collection (most of the Eckstein collection was sold on November 1948 at Sotheby's in London).
Provenance: The property of an old family from Wassenaar. L 18, H 16,5 cm, Possible old restoration to the lid. Small glaze flake to edge of beak of cockerel. Otherwise in good condition.
