Eight semi-eggshell cups and saucers with flying cranes, Yongzheng period, 18th century, China, A set of thin porcelain cups and saucers, each decorated with gilded grisaille and small accents of blue and pink enamel and iron red. The centres of the saucers and insides of the cups feature a roundel shaped crane holding a lingzhi. The borders and outsides of the cups showing cranes in flight and peaches. Not marked. Saucers: D 13 cm, Cups: D 9 cm, H 4 cm, One cup with a hairline. No other damage and no restoration noted. Slight wear of the gilding.
