A large Portugese silver ewer, Large bulbous and shaped form. Richly decorated with sloping rocaille border at the base, two cartouche shapes within floral scrolls, leaves and shell decorations. S-scroll reeded and leaf handle, hinged domed cover embossed with shell and leaf decoration. The spout in the shape of a mythical sea creature.
