此挂件以质地纯美的和阗白玉籽料雕琢而成，油润白腻，堪比羊脂。器大体呈椭圆形，侧面带有红皮，可见为整颗原籽去皮雕就。器表琢刻一只攀栖于灵芝上的绶带鸟。头冠留皮俏色，圆眼尖喙，丰翼贴身，羽毛刻划十分细密，长尾弯曲前展，旁有灵芝数株，双爪握住灵芝柄。背面雕有两枚大灵芝，侧面雕有梅枝，并以红皮巧作梅花，十分亮眼，雕工极为精湛。绶带鸟亦称“寿带鸟”，色彩绚烂，具华美之容。因绶带为标志官阶的饰物，绶带鸟寓意加官进爵，又以“绶”与“寿”同音，亦寓意长寿，故绶带鸟有福寿双全之意，被视为吉祥鸟。配以梅花，更有“举案齐眉”之意。整件作品选料上乘，雕工绝伦，内涵丰富，是一件不折不扣的乾隆时期玉雕精品。
