DESCRIPTION: An Important French 19th Cent. Empire st. biscuit porcelain and ormolu clock, the clock is raised by ormulo supports below a rectangular base with a finely chases plaque flanked rosette mounts. Above are two columns decorated by ormulo Cariatides, ormolu garlands and urns with flowers. The central ename is decorated by swaging ormolu drape and sunburst pendulum. A the tip crown is an impressive ormolu eagle, serpent and foliate garland with a biscuit porcelain sphinx on each side. Signed Manufacture de Sevres along the back. Stamped on the movement "Medaille D'argent" and dated 1856, comes with key.
