Eyema Byeri" reliquary guardian statue associated with the cult of the ancestors. Statue representing a male figure sitting on a tenon, arms brought back on the torso, above the umbilicus. The body with a muscular curvature and a well-made sculpture presents a face that is slightly granular in places and the eyes symbolized by metal slats.
Very beautiful iconographic sculpture but late, remarkably presented on a pedestal.
Height: 44 cm.
Old restorations, cracks and wear.
Provenance : French private collection.
