A Roman bronze strigil and a Roman bronze ladle
Circa 1st-2nd Century A.D.
The strigil with concave tapering blade, the cylindrical handle fenestrated, the handle and exterior of the blade with incised linear decoration, the blade punched with wavy lines, leaves, scrolls, and a pair of fish at the curve, the handle punched with scroll, leaf and a fish, a nail incised at the tip, affixed to a later bronze base; together with a ladle with curling terminals, strigil 27.5cm high; ladle 21.1cm high (2)注脚Provenance:
