Nadia Léger née Khodossievitch (1904-1982), a Russian artist who arrived in Paris in the 1930s, was a pupil of Fernand Léger before becoming his wife. Her work belongs to the main pictorial currents of the 20th century: supremacist, cubist and realist.
The ref. 9804 has become an essential model in the Piaget collection... because it was THE reference worn by Jackie Kennedy. If the watch worn by the ex-First Lady was equipped with a jade dial and set with 4 emeralds, our watch is mounted on a braided gold bracelet, a very delicate work whose motif is repeated on the dial. This continuity of line between dial and bracelet is particularly typical of the Seventies spirit.
