瓶型承宋代式样，敞口，束颈，圆鼓腹下垂，高圈足外撇，造型秀美典雅。器口、内壁满施白釉，釉汁洁白润泽，外壁尽施霁蓝釉，宝光内蕴，尽显静穆素雅。而施釉之均匀，颜色之纯正。瓶身修长饱满，线条流畅自然，釉料汁水莹厚如堆脂，色彩鲜艳而有宝光。 霁蓝品种，清宫旧称为“霁青”，为仿宣德宝石蓝釉烧制而成，是唐英《陶成纪事碑》中“仿古采今”的五十七种釉色之一。玉壶春瓶原以诗句“玉壶先春”而得名，源自宋代酒器，是中国瓷器最传统的经典造型之一，以变化的弧线构成柔和匀称的瓶体，深为世人所喜爱。 参阅：1.《故宫博物院藏古陶瓷资料选粹•卷二》，紫禁城出版社，2005年，页259，图22 2.《宫廷珍藏—中国清代官窑瓷器》，上海文化出版社，2003年，页34
