Tang dynasty Potted with an ovoid body tapering towards the base, supported on a flat foot, surmounted by a slender waisted neck encircled by raised fillets, flanked by a pair of curved double-strap handles applied with bosses and terminating in dragon heads biting the flaring galleried-rim, splashed with green and amber over wax-resist spots, the glaze ending in an irregular line over the incised lines encircling the shoulder revealing the pinkish buff body. 14 1/2in (36.8cm) high
