Late Qing dynasty Carved as a plump elephant standing foursquare with its head turned to the left, two boys crouching on a large lotus leaf on its back, one boy emptying a jug of water over the elephant's side, the jug inscribed with the character fu, the water cascading in streams as the other boy scrubs the elephant with a brush, the smoothly finished gray-green stone with cloudy-white and speckled brown inclusions. 4 5/8in (12cm) long
