Footnotes: Provenance Acquired by the present owner from a private collection in Sussex, in the U.K. While there are considerable differences in the costume and headdress, the composition of the present portrait appears to be derived from Titian's Young woman in a feathered hat, oil on canvas, 97 x 75 cm., in the Hermitage Museum, Saint Petersburg.
