款识：【底款】一片冰心在玉壶 孟臣制 此壶形制古雅，砂质细腻，浆面润泽，呈色明艳，式度凝练。身筒气韵饱满，弯流与曲把线条皆流畅和谐，以圆立钮为中心的笠形盖帽颇具特色，犹如明季儒生。壶底竹刀写刻“一片冰心在玉壶。孟臣制。” 壶形虽小，却小中见大，颇有精神。孟臣，惠孟臣，传为明天启、崇祯间宜兴制壶名手（一说孟臣为清康熙、雍正间人）。江苏宜兴人，生卒不详，孟臣名号有君德、思亭等，孟臣是晚年自号，为时大彬后一名手。孟臣制壶，大壶浑朴，小壶精妙，笔法类褚河南。清•吴骞《阳羡名陶录•家溯》、日•奥兰田《茗壶图录》、民国•李景康、张虹《阳羡砂壶图考•别传》等著录中皆对孟臣开篇详加叙述。容量：100ml
