Description

在藏传佛教中，密法的传承是由根本传承上师口耳相传给弟子，因此皈依上师及上师供奉在密教中极为重要。由此，便涌现出大量以上师为主题的佛教造像。此件上师像全跏趺端坐于束腰仰覆莲花座之上，双手结转法轮印，两侧有矿物彩绘莲花于肘部向上枝叶蔓延，在肩头开敷，右肩花中置金刚杵；上师宽颐广眉，作寂静相，双目微阖，神态宁谧，髮上涂黑彩；身着僧衣，袈裟半披于双肩之上，衣饰简括。莲座上下缘均饰有联珠纹，莲瓣饱满而顶端翻卷，灵动静美。整尊造像雕刻技艺精湛，造型生动传神，鎏金保存完好，彩绘依然可见，堂皇庄严，为此类造像精品之作。
