此件烛台器型线条起伏收放，使器物极富韵律节奏之美。通体以胭脂红彩描绘纹饰，顶盘外绘缠枝如意云头纹，颈部绘云龙纹，下部承盘绘双龙赶珠纹及云蝠纹，是一件精心设计、工艺考究的官窑力作。烛台红彩发色沉着，不同于釉里红之发色不稳定之特征，釉上胭脂红彩发色均匀稳定，红色典雅端庄，胎釉质密。胭脂彩是引入西洋配釉法，在红釉中加金以低温烧成，烧制不易，提纯困难，故颇为名贵。
