Tibet, circa 1900
Heavy cast iron. It is centred on a bulbous knot underlined by two friezes of lotus petals. From these emanate, for each, two series of four arcs of circles that meet at the ends and emanate from kneeling figures with hands in anjali mudra (blurring of the patina in places).
