BURNS ARCHAIC PORCELAIN PERFUME IN IMITATION OF BRONZE, DING
China, 19th or 20th century period
Tripod, with a globular belly and two arched handles spat out by dragons and encircled by moulded rings. It is decorated on the outside with carved and/or moulded tantric/bagua symbols framed by two rows of pearls. Polychrome contrast induced by brown and gold in an attempt to imitate bronze. Wooden lid with a coral fritel. Apocryphal mark of the Emperor Qianlong hollowed out at the bottom (shine to the fritel, lid possibly added although adapted and proportioned).
