LARGE BLUE WHITE PORCELAIN DISH WITH DRAGONS DECORATION
China, 20th century, Based on a Ming style production from the reign of Emperor Yongzheng
Circular, it is decorated in cobalt blue with a covering decoration. On the outside, foliated scrolls and flowers of lotus and chrysanthemums alternate. In its hollow is a compartmentalized decoration, in the centre of which is a five-clawed dragon's forehead. On the marli, two dragons with five claws, those in profile. Leafy and flowery scrolls of chrysanthemums animate the background. Apocryphal mark of the Emperor Kangxi in cobalt blue in kaishu below.
