A GEORGE II STYLE GILT BRASS MOUNTED EBONIZED WOOD TABLE CLOCK, SECOND HALF 19TH CENTURY, of rectangular form with a pineapple finial on short pedestal flanked by scrolled brackets supported by a cushion form panel and cavetto centering a ribbon tied fruiting swags mount, on molded cornice with pinecone corner finials above the canted corners case mounted with maiden bust scrolling brackets suspending tapering floral pendants, enclosing a glazed rectangular door opening to a conforming sablé face with gilt brass pierced floral "C" scroll panels, enclosing triple ring dials of chime/silent, slow/fast, chime on eight gongs/Westminster chimes, above a silvered ring dial with black Roman chapters and black five minute Arabic numerals, centering reticulated cut steel hands and triple key escapements on a sablé ground, over "C" scrolled rocaille corner spandrels and a block base with palm leaf detailed bronze trim, raised on scrolling foliate feet and flanked by acanthus cast bale handles above conforming black silk lined pierced brass panels of cherubs amidst stylized leafy foliage, reversing to a silk lined door opening to an unsigned eight-day clockworks with hammer strike gongs, includes pendulum.
