A BAROQUE REVIVAL GILT BRONZE MANTLE CLOCK, FRENCH, SECOND HALF 19TH CENTURY, the bombé two handle lidded and flaming urn on a short block form plinth, centered by an architectural scrolling broken pediment suspending a berried laurel garland, above a lantern form case enclosing a circular lappet panel bezel with glass cover, opening to a ring dial of individual white enamel plaques with black Roman hour chapters and blued steel hands over twin key escapements within a conforming shallow relief strapwork face, framed by leaf tip encadrements and corner foliate spandrels above a lion's mask amidst curling leafy appliques, flanked by Corinthian fluted colonettes and demi fruit filled urns above maiden bust topped acanthus leaves centering monnaie banding tapering to a scrolled foot, on a band of stylized shell alternating acanthine relief cast details over a gadrooned tombeau base with applied circular blank cartouche pendant within berried laurel branches and raised on scrolling foliate modeled feet, verso brass clockworks stamped "831 / PN / A PARIS / 7 7," includes pendulum.
