A PAIR OF GEORGE II STYLE CARVED MAHOGANY AND RED LEATHER UPHOLSTERED DINING ARMCHAIRS, 18TH/19TH CENTURY, each with a serpentine arched crest rail centering a circular acanthus detailed pendant, flanked by matching acanthus leaves and ending before stylized shells on curved square form stiles, enclosing a reticulated vasiform splat and issuing acanthine contoured "S" form arms terminating in curled eagle head form hand rests, on stiff-leaf rendered supports on a rounded trapezoidal seat with terracotta red leather upholstered drop-in cushion above a double-arched sea trail, raised on cabriole legs with foliate carved hips ending in claw-and-ball feet and joined by a stylized "H" form stretcher.
