Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, Blue and White Porcelain Vase.The porcelain potted in baluster bottle form, spherical body, shoulder tapering to straight neck with, slightly tall cylindrical stick neck, straight opening mouth rim, raised on short cylindrical small round, with concave foot base.All reserved in clean white underglaze base color which contrast against the cobalt fine blue color. Blue and white porcelain in Chinese it is called Qing Hua Ci. It is the most important variety of China’s porcelain. It was originated in the Yuan Dynasty. Its color does not easily fade and durability is longer. It used cobaltous oxide as the colorant. Patterns were directly painted onto the inner body and burnt after glaze was applied on it. The main body delicately fine depicted with abundant lotus flowers blooms among scrolling interlocking tendril and foliage. The Shoulder adorned with repeating interlocking scrolling ruyi clouds and the neck decorated with geometrically pattern and Shou Chinese calligraphy. Repeating key fret decorated on the upper mouth rim and scrolling tendril on the foot rim. Each section part banded and enclosed with double fine blue rings. Dimensions: Ht.24cm; Diam.16cm.
