Footnotes: Inscriptions: with the name Abu'l-'Abbas Ahmad, and a form of prayer. The city of Qafsa is an ancient city in modern day Tunisia. Its name is taken from the Latin Capsa referring back to the Mesolithic Capsian culture. Excavations in the region have yielded artefacts back to between 10,000 – 6,000 years BC.
