仿石纹釉属低温颜色釉，创烧于雍正而盛行于乾隆，习惯上称之为釉，实则为彩，需用近似于各色石质的彩釉于烧好的瓷胎上勾绘石头纹理，再二次入窑低温烧成。其色泽摹仿逼真，瓷石莫辨，于纹理空隙间见洞石之奇谲效果，虽曰人工，宛若天成。此器器身满绘矾红、墨彩仿石纹纹饰，色彩深淡相宜，纹路舒展相间，绘图如石纹状自然有序，又似行云流水般畅酣。盒底款书“乾隆年制”。
