Dim.: 40,5 x 39 x 27 cm (the saddle) - Dim.: 30 x 26 x 13 cm (each stirrup)Â The saddle dated Bunan 2, 15th C., while the lacquer is likely to be of later date, Edo, 1st half 19th C.The kura incised with the date and the maker's kao on the base, the front and back decorated in gold hiramakie and takamakie with birds-of-prey and scrollwork.
