Granchez, who became Marie-Antoinette's jeweler, located on the quai Conti until 1789, offered all kinds of curiosities, luxury objects and jewelry. He specialized in the sale of objects made of varnished sheet metal imitating porcelain from both England and from the two Parisian factories specialized in this field ("Petite Pologne" and "Manufacture royale de vernis façon de la Chine").
