Measurements: Height: 4.625" Width/Lenght: 5.5" Diameter/Depth: 5.5" Chinese Ming Dynasty, ChengHua doucai porcelain jar. Potted in cylinder vessel, jar shape, having thick and tall potted body, sturdily potted in a bulbous body, ovoid belly on middle gently tapered on short neck toward opening mouth prominent, with flat dome lid, and raised on flat round foot base. The exterior decorated by applying of wucai design color, a variety of five-colored pigments creates bold opaque hand-painting of carp swims among water flowers blooms above thrashing waves lishui water. Its shoulder bordered with dense of floral diaper surrounding BaJiXiang symbols inside ruyi shaped cartouches. The dome lid with auspicious flowers ornament and two carp. The glaze is seamless and gives off a beautiful luster, with the colors maintaining excellent vibrancy. Mark on base, a six blue script characters reign mark, ChengHua Reign Period of Great Ming Dynasty.
