Measurements: Height: 11 7/8" Width: 8 1/2" Stunning Chinese Qing Dynasty Blue and white porcelain Moon flask vase. Large coin-shaped body, onion-head opening with ribbon handles, and splayed concave foot base. The main body decorated with hand painting in variegate tones and shades indigo underglazed blue of a duck beneath shading bamboo sprigs in tranquil scene, depicted together with lotus, as a rule in a pond scene. Blue floral blooms a vine work is interlaced around the head and foot scenery. The shape is uniformly proportioned, without overlap of the outlines, well drawn, clear, subtle, and distinct. The clay is fine and exquisite, the glaze smooth, brilliant with a moist appearance, the finishing meticulous. The glaze terminates above the foot, revealed smooth pale-creme unglazed ground foot rim and dark-grayish firing marks, with the slightly receded central base remain white under glaze.
