PROVENANCE: From the collections of Dan Peters (1946 - Present), of South Atlanta-Georgia, private collector. A retired engineer and Christian School Administrator, has had the heart of a missionary to serve in many foreign countries aiding in building orphanages and hospitals in Russia, Romania, Ukraine, and other Asian countries. His present work is in Lima Peru. There he is using his talents to help develop safe drinking water and establish sanitary conditions inside the hospital. He is the parent to 16 children most of which are adopted from various countries. His worldwide travels have allowed him to enjoy the ability to collect treasures, some of his collection will be sold at auction to help raise funds for his ongoing work in Peru. Chinese Qing Dynasty Qianlong reign period ruby-red Imperial porcelain bowl. Finely potted with simply gently rounded side emerging steeply to a flat rim, raised on the concave footed ring base. The exterior decorated with beautiful cherry blossom, all against the attractive ruby-red glaze background. This piece displays subtle designs, smooth glazed, brilliant with a moist appearance, the finishing meticulous. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant finish that was applied by a meticulous glaze, the shape is uniformly proportioned. Mark on the countersunk base, a six under-glazed red seal script characters reign mark, Made in The Years of Qianlong Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty.
