A pair of Chinese watercolor and ink on silk paintings by Tan Xian. One painting depicts 2 scholars and an attendant in a courtly garden; the other depicts 4 figures, one playing a guqin. Both paintings include a seal and are framed. Dimensions are: painting- 39 3/4 inches tall X 15 1/2 inches wide; 101 cm tall X 39.4 cm wide. Frame- 42 inches tall X 18 inches wide; 106.7 cm tall X 45.7 cm wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Mold spotting and wear to the surface.
