A set of 2 Chinese fans on paper, one is by Chen Zongyi and the other is by Bao Gongchao. The top fan is an ink on gold-flecked paper calligraphy and includes 2 seals. The lower fan is watercolor and ink on paper and depicts 2 scholars observing a waterfall and includes an inscription and 1 seal. The fans are mounted on a silk backing and framed. Dimensions are: the fans each measure 9 inches tall X 20 inches wide, 22.9 cm tall X 50.8 cm wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: The calligraphy has a few small repairs, the painted fan is in good condition. Provenance: From the estate of Albert T. Quon in Beverly Hills, California. Mr. Quon was the first Asian-American admitted to the Los Angeles Rotary Club and the first Asian-American to serve on the board of the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce.
