A Chinese famille rose statuette by Wei Hongtai. The statuette depicts Zhongkui carrying a small boy on his shoulders. Dimensions are: 11 3/4 inches tall X 4 3/4 inches wide; 29.8 cm tall X 12.1 cm wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: The statue has 1 foot broken off and a possible loss to the boy's pack. Provenance: From the estate of Mr. Kwok Woon Kun, formerly a shareholder of Wing On Company, a well-known department store group in Hong Kong and Shanghai. This collection was collected in Hong Kong prior to Mr. Kwok's death in 1969. His collection was shipped to Canada in 1981 and was inherited by Mr. Kwok’s daughter and grandson. Comes with proof of provenance.
