A pair of blue-and-white Chinese ginger jars dating from the 18th century. The first jar depicts a phoenix and dragon among clouds, the other depicts 3 quatrefoil scenes containing pairs of children with lotuses, and each scene is separated by lotus flowers. Dimensions are: 8 3/4 inches tall X 8 inches wide; 22.2 cm tall X 20.3 cm wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Overall good condition with minor abrasions to both. Provenance: From Mrs. McMaster in Houston, Texas; acquired in Hong Kong during the 1980s.
