A Chinese blanc de chine gu vase dating from the 17th century and with a wooden stand. The gu vase features 2 banana leaf borders around a central band of Greek key ground and relief carvings. Dimensions are: 16 1/2 inches tall X 6 inches wide; 41.9 cm tall X 15.2 cm wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: The bottom has been drilled, and the body has a few firing cracks. Provenance: From Mr. Mah in New Jersey, whose father acquired the collection in China prior to 1949.
