An attractive six-color overlay glass snuff bottle (1730-1780) The rounded rectangular bottle resting on a raised blue overlaid foot ring, with gently sloping shoulders, skillfully applied with overlays in six pleasant colors, and carved with an intricate design of a phoenix standing on rocks next to peony flowers to represent nobility and wealth, the reverse carved with a cat and butterflies, suggesting longevity.
