A LARGE SILVER AND GOLD-INLAID KOFTGARI CHARGER North India, 19th century Of circular shape, resting on a flat base, extending to a scalloped reinforced rim, the silver and gold-inlaid decoration of the interior consisting of intricate scrolling vegetal tendrils and heart-shaped abstract petals stemming from a central medallion with a rosette and abstract vegetal motifs, similar patterns to the rim, the cavetto embellished with four oval cartouches with silver-inlaid poetic verses, the back with silver-inlaid bands of hatched designs and a cross-hatched chart to the centre, 36cm diam.
