A large Japanese "Dragon and Phoenix" glazed earthenware baluster vase. Late 19th century. The body with a cartouche to each side, one displaying a phoenix among chrysanthemums, the other depicting a dragon and flaming pearl, the shoulder flanked by mask-decorated handles with articulated rings, impressed mark to underside. H: 22 3/4 in.
