A group of 5 jades dating to the Ming and Qing dynasty. The carvings include: a hulu with a bat and butterfly; a pair of deer among flowers with a wooden stand; a pair of melons; a monkey with peaches and a wooden stand; a guardian lion. Dimensions are: largest: 1 1/8 in. tall X 2 in. wide; 2.9 cm tall X 5.1 cm wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Area of loss to a leaf of the hulu. The monkey is missing its arm, and has chipping to feet. The guardian lion has damage to its paws. The others are in overall good condition. Provenance: From Mrs. Collard in Northern California.
