款识：北海书，宋人初不甚重之。至苏米而稍袭其法，又至赵文敏，每作大字一意拟之。杜海诸碑，皆手自镌。所云黄鸜伏苓无其人而名托也。丙辰天中，前二日书。|钤印：「臣以智印」|作者简介：方以智，明，字密之，号曼公，又号鹿起、龙眠愚者等，汉族，安徽桐城人。明末清初画家、哲学家、科学家。崇祯十三年（1640）进士，授翰林院检讨。为复社成员，有“明季四公子”之称。明亡后，为僧，法名弘智。学术上，方以智家学渊源，博采众长，主张中西合璧，儒、释、道三教归一。一生著述400余万言，多有散佚，存世作品数十种，内容广博，文、史、哲、地、医药、物理，无所不包。
