2 Large Chinese 19 Century 8-Lobed Porcelain Round Boxes with windows of Immortals and a ground of flowers on a yellow ground, the bases with 6 character Yongzheng Seal marks in iron red, the inside in turquoise enamel. Height with cover 6 1/2 inches (16.5 cm.) X diameter 10 1/4 inches (26 cm.). PROVENANCE: Purchased from the Sotheby's New York Auction, "Property from the Collection of the Late Matthew Schutz" in a delux hard-bound catalogue for 9 December 1994. Matthew Schutz, who died in June 1989 was an exclusive antique dealer operating Matthew Schutz Ltd. out of his glamorous apartment at 1025 Park Avenue at 86th Street. Schutz was a founding member of the Cooper-Hewitt Museum's Decorative Arts Committee. *****************************This lot was purchased by Jianhui Wang, Beijing, Bejing. in our January 26th, 2020 sale.
